Kalixa® waives Internet Banking and card replacement fees
Kalixa the prepaid MasterCard® from Vincento Payment Solutions Ltd today announces that it will be waiving the fee for loads via bank transfer and the card replacement fee as of 1st August 2010. The move will make Kalixa a favored choice in the pre-paid card market by avoiding the often costly transaction and replacement card charges imposed by many providers and will result in a saving for consumers of 99p per transaction and £4.95 for a card replacement. This latest offer comes in addition to other savings offered to Kalixa cardholders, who have also benefited from waived Foreign Exchange (FX) fees in 2010.
Furthermore, where the cardholder’s bank participates in the Faster Payment Service (FPS) funds loaded by bank transfer will be available on the Kalixa card the next working day. Kalixa is also incentivising users of the card through its “refer a friend” scheme. If cardholders recommend a friend that also signs up, both receive £5 credited to their respective Kalixa® cards. Kalixa can be loaded with up to £3,000 by free online electronic bank transfer or from another debit or credit card at 1.95 percent.*
Alpesh Patel, CEO at Vincento Payment Solutions, said:
“Pre-paid cards have often been criticised for hidden charges and transaction fees, yet we have always believed in making life easier and cheaper for our customers. We continue trying to give respite to consumers and to give something back this summer by waiving our FX fees until the 30th September, as well as internet banking and card replacement fees indefinitely. These are just the latest additions to the huge number of benefits associated with using a Kalixa card and when you combine these with its convenience of use and the protection it affords against card fraud it illustrates yet more compelling reasons to sign up.
